I respect your take and I like Goff but didn't like his comments.
He basically said McVay told to him John was starting this week because - according to the coach - it had to be declared early for preparations sake.
Then he says he's ready but adds who knows we'll play cat and mouse with you next week.
He basically said he's ready now and took away McVay excuses.
