It makes since that over coaching is hurting Goff and Goff is also making bad plays. He is not playing instinctivy and that is the problem. My son fears he is more of a pleaser trusting McVay and too focused on doing things his way but not ready to assert himself when the game is in progress. He robotically follows.

Your point re Wolford won't be over coached thus quickly. Rings true.

I noted Wolford relaxed and well communicated press conference made me wonder if his personality is better fit for McVay or he actually gets it better.

Agreed that Goff wants to be a team player and will follow orders. Will that always be the case? He is only 24 so maybe he will say enough and push back at some point down the road. If McVay was barking in my ear to the point that I couldn't concentrate, I'd tell him to quiet down and focus on the next series.

McVay will see what I saw, which is that Wolford running head first on every run will get him a short career. So does Wolford start sliding every time? If he does, is he a follower too? If he doesn't, is he a hard-headed cowboy like Wentz with a likely short career?

BTW, back to Goff, he was generally a safe slider when he ran and on the few times when we needed a 4th and 1 he would get in there and get it done. I've mostly seen that from him with the Rams as well except 2 weeks ago. He slid before the 10 yard line on 3rd and 10. Then he threw that interception, which I believe was supposed to be a floater to Woods but he should have kept it and picked up 5 more. Situational awareness lacking that he previously had.... too many thoughts on his brain? I think so.

I also like the poster that said him and McVay are too distracted by their Girlfriends. That got a chuckle and may have some validity.
