Which leads to another BIG question, that I have at least. How good are our current WR's at running the deep routes? I think most on this board believe they aren't good, bad actually. I'm not so sure, myself... I haven't seen enough of it to make that determination. Getting open deep is not entirely dependent on straight ahead speed. I've seen, we've all seen, in the past every receiver we have on the roster get open deep. There are innumerable less than speed burners in the NFL who do it repeatedly.
So while it's true we don't have that one scorching fast WR I don't think that's even close to a good reason to not have more of a deep threat.
Should mention here... I'm not talking about going deep crazy... I think that would be nuts, Ram's aren't built for that. - JamesJM
