How do you explain the success of Brady, Manning, and even Brees?

Golf and McVay are young give them time.

Those 3 QB's have superior intangibles and overall better accuracy. Brees and Manning specifically have much better anticipation on their throws. They lacked superior arm strength, so their timing on pass patterns were exceptional. Brady is a little different because he has/had a pretty strong arm as well as accuracy and can fit it in tight windows.

Goff isn't much different in Brady as far as physical skills, so there is hope he could possibly develop into a top tier QB. We can only hope, but if he doesn't, we can still win with a great supporting cast.

Problem is people seem to want to compare Goff to those greats like he's been playing 10 years.....go compare Goff's numbers to all of them in their first five years. Goff's early numbers are better than most...Goff was already a top tier QB when he finished 5th in DoVA ratings for QB in both 2017-2018 and he's already taken a team to a Super Bowl. That is part of the problem with Goff to some people I believe...he was so good in 2017-2018 that we just expect it every year now. He is a good QB, already proven to be one of the best, let's see where this season takes us and enjoy the ride. We've been looking for a QB since the GSOT days, lets be greatful that we found one .... He just turned 26 and has a lot of growing to do
