Max I agree. Goff is not a top 5 talent at this point in his career. He has had 2 bad games (SF and Miami).
Currently he is completing 66.36% of his passes a career high. He has less turnovers than Wilson and Murray.
Looks like McVay is trying to play smash mouth football. The Rams defense looks solid.
Look at the Seahawks game. 4 long drives in excess of 70 yards ( I think 2 of them were 90+). This keeps the defense fresh and helps keep the ball out of the enemy's hands.
Rams are 6-3 in the middle of a playoff hunt. The Chargers and Texans are both 3 -7 . Both QB's you mentioned are putting up Prescott like numbers.
The QB rating system is flawed. Against the Seahawks the Rams scored TD's of 1 yard, 7 yard, and 1 yard. I would much be able to run the ball n that take a risk of a pass.
I watched the game a second time. Goff was exceptional on 3rd down. If you take out the drops and throwaways, Goff may of missed 3 or 4 throws the entire game. Strip sacks happen, Goff climbed the pocket, Mundt wiffed on a block, Adams made a nice play.
Goff looked more comfortable that game, Wilson and Pete Carroll looked frustrated. The Rams typically match up well with the Hawks ( Goff/McVay are 5-2)
I'm nervous about this game. Brady is the Goat, the Bucs are a very talented team. At least Billicheat isn't doing the game planning.
I've been a Rams fan sense the early 70's. If seen some horrible QB play. Goff is laid back and is very durable. I like the kid takes a licken and keeps on tickin.
