We need an improvement at edge opposite Floyd, right? I mean, Ebu and Obo have been ineffective so far, correct? And who knows when or if Lewis can be an even average player there? Hollins may or may not become effective there, but so far has not exactly blown the doors off.
And we know that a weak edge could prevent a deep playoff run against top flight opposition, so the stakes could scarcely be higher.
Meanwhile, both Everett and Reynolds have been having good seasons both catching and blocking. Both are gonna be UFA’s after this season, both are at fairly deep Ram positions, and neither are expected to be extended due to cap considerations.
Sooooo...
Should Snead be willing to trade either away in order to bring in a decent edge player for our playoff run? Would have to be a sign and trade, of course. I think Snead can, will, and should make such a player for player trade. I’d prefer to keep our limited picks next year for ourselves.
First off, IF there is a full season and playoffs (which I am not sure will happen), we won't go far without a good pass rush to help our D stop some of the better O's in this league.
Sooo, I got a hypothetical question for you...Who would we go after? Teams aren't willing to give up good pass rushers. They are not easy to come by. IMO, the price would be quite high for anyone that is considered good/great even if we did find someone.
IMO, we have failed in our need for a pass rusher. The guys we drafted to rush the passer haven't really panned out the way we wanted. I would be thrilled if we could land a good pass rush guy, but I don't see that happening. IMO, we will be using the guys we have on the roster right now all season and hope somebody steps up. Will that happen? IDK.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
