What are they going to say? Drills and practice are not like pre-season games and they don't watch tape with the coaches and aren't in the meetings.

The Rams obviously this year, unlike last year, set the OL early to work on communication and coherence. If you're going to set the line early, all other things being equal, you go with the older vets--even if it's one year older. It just means that much more time spent going over film with coaches and so on.

Meanwhile, unlike the starting 5, the others cross-train at other positions. There have been sightings of Evans and Anchrum at LOT for example.

Looks to me like they were giving the starting 5 extensive time together as a unit and cross-training the depth.
