I think it is not a fair evaluation that Edwards and Evans are somehow not good and developing players. These guys were not early draft picks. Rather, Noteboom and Corbett are simply better at this point in their careers, not only both being selected much higher in the draft, but because they are the better players.
Further, this ought to tell us something about just how under siege our Oline was last year, through all the injuries, and that even merely "competent" play by Evans and Edwards at least made our O functional.
Assuming the Oline as composed of Whit, Noteboom, Blythe, and Corbett and Havs stays healthy, I suspect we're going to see significantly better Oline play, and thus Goff won't be having onrushing guys in his face on nearly every passing down, and there will also be more opportunities to run the ball.
Even more, we have experienced (if young) depth that we haven't had in years. If Edwards or Evans have to step in, even for a few plays, they will be no worse than competent.
