The argument for not drafting OL high in this past draft after last years awful OL performance was that they felt good about guys like Edwards and Evans going into their 2nd year.
Well, where are these guys? .
You know if NB and Corbett work out and Edwards and Evans come through too...and eventually Anchrum...then they have done some pretty serious drafting (though of course Corbett was a trade).
Sure, yeah, but that’s a huge IF, and my bet is that it doesn’t happen.
There is no strong evidence that NB and Corbett work out. And Edwards and Evans are behind them for a reason. I expressed concern about Edwards not reporting in shape and not buying in and Jourdan told me my view was spot on.
But, hey, I didn’t expect them to have this thing fixed this year. I just hope they don’t get Goff beat up. No one should be surprised if that happens. It certainly shouldn’t be an oh, well, crap happens. It should be they screwed up again.
There is no strong evidence of anything. There's an experienced and historically very successful OL coach coaching up a line plus cross-training the depth.
Will they have it fixed this year?
It's an unknown. But yes it's possible.
I am going to give you a hard time, just for fun, in the spirit of comraderie.
When I see unknowns my automatic response is "ah, an unknown."
