I was really speaking as to what I hope we do this year. Last year I was hoping we would grab Cody Ford. Other guys who had pedigree were Jawaan Taylor, Dalton Risner, Eric McCoy & E Jenkins to name a few. They were all well thought of highly respected prospects. I am hoping we can get a guy like this, a name I will recognize when we make the selection at #52. I pay enough attention to college football and the pre draft stuff to know when we draft a guy with pedigree vs a no name that Les Snead thinks is another undiscovered gem like Noteboom or Allen.
Cody Ford - a man power scheme OG/OT in a OZS offense, sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Risner is another power man fit that moved from OT to OG.
Jawaan Taylor is a RT, and the Rams literally just paid a RT, regardless of how poorly he played, he had a good season before that draft.
McCoy never got to the Rams pick so there is that, and he was a reach in the first.
Same for Jenkins.
And Noteboom coming from TCU in a power 5 conference is an unknown gem only to people that don't pay that close attn to college football. And Allen from Michigan State, a Big 10 team with years of tradition...not buying he was undiscovered. Undiscovered would be a guy like Bartch from St. Joihns Minnesota. Or even Robert Hunt from Louisiana.
