Why would you? He was a developmental lt coming out and hasn't produced in a game yet. If he was polished he would have went higher. But that doesnt mean he NEVER will be good. It's not like he would be the first player that took some time to develop. Last year would you have said that we would be good to go with Troy Hill as a starting cb? Yet I'm sure you and everyone else was ok with havs at rt. And this year it's the exact opposite.
What I think you're missing here is when you look at a roster a player is either an answer for the upcoming season or he isn't. The "what if" types are not the guys you consider to be an answer. Those are the guys who, if they're all you have, mean that position is a need.
I have nothing against Boom. I'm rooting for the dude. But when we talk roster it irritates me when people throw his name out there like he's some sort of answer. Like his limited looks where he was ok two years ago means we have a LT of the future on the roster. It is indeed a fan driven fantasy to consider him any sort of answer for us. He's a low odds horse who might come in and you gotta plan that way IMO.
