I think Jones is one of those players you go into the Draft keeping an eye on but not expecting to be there at 52. I've seen mocks with him going as high as 20th-25th. In general he seems rated somewhere around the 30th-40th best overall prospect. But... IF he slips and he's sitting there at 52 I think, given longer term OL needs, if they like him then take him. Similar happened with Rapp a year ago where he was also rated as a top-40 prospect but ended up in their laps at #61.
I guess I’m kinda dug in on this, 93.
My question continues to be, ‘How many LOT’s does this team need, given the perceived holes at multiple other positions’? I’m assuming that highly qualified players at many of these needed positions will drop to 52 or even later if Snead gets his trade down(s). Just like last year with Rapp. Everybody is declaring this draft to be loaded through at least the 3rd round. So, why not take full advantage of that?
Honestly, if Jones fell to 52 I would hope that Snead could find a team that would trade up for him and Rams could gain another nice pick.
