Give SF a qb who could play in clutch time and it might have been different.

His name was Joe Montana and SF don't have that guy anymore. Grap is no Montana and
never will be.
Not defending any points of view, or going after yours. But what we saw Sunday was greatness. Posters on
this board had the game over and done with, handwringing over Grap being named MVP, etc... but that kid stepped up and closed the deal. It's what the great ones do, and I don't know how that's debatable.
It isn't debateable. Which is probably why no one is debating it.
There's a lot of misunderstandings in this conversation. It went a bit off the rails somewhere. Some think it's about is Mahomes great or not. Nope. No one has been debating that. There's pretty universal agreement on that. So that's really not an issue.
In terms of qbs who could have kept SF going in the 4th quarter? I can think of at least a dozen right now, currently active. That is, the SF qb did not have to come from behind--just keep the offense on the field. Yeah there are qbs who coulda done that.
Does saying that mean I wanted SF to win? No, not at all. Just being objective about how that game went.
