There it was, the model, pressure the QB enough and you always win.
Well, not with this kid, not with mahomes. He’s too good. No other QB puts up 31 points on that defense in the SB.
David Carr said Bosa was in his face all game, but Mahomes is a freak of nature. Freak abilities and will power. Thank goodness he’s not in our division.
But then the other thing. SF didn't score and take advantage (they last scored at 2:40 left in the 3rd). And the Chiefs rallied back. Absolutely due to Mahomes, but also due to Reid dialing up some answers on offense.
There will be teams that can pressure the KC qb AND score when they need to. Unless you are declaring the Chiefs will be undefeated for as long as Mahomes starts.
While I agree with both of you, not to make excuses, but in a Super Bowl as we all know the Refs usually let them play and they could have called LT Eric Fisher for holding on several plays, but did not, however, as Rams fans we are used to that with Donald.
IMO, with the 49ers up 20-17, Shanahan blew it after calling a run on first down and gaining five yards, the next play he called a pass, yes it was open, but it got knocked down and that what can happen, run the ball and play to your teams strengths and the outcome might have been different.
I also concur wholeheartedly with max about Patrick Mahomes, barring injury, he's going to be the GOAT and is the type of QB you can hold down all day, but he can still beat you seven ways to Sunday. I'm glad he is not in our division too and the Chiefs are going to be a tough out in post season for the next decade at the very minimum.
