They've made their mark on the league and southern CA in 4 years- with absolutely a lot of room to grow. The new stadium will help and certainly be a big fan attraction (partly because it will also be a free agent attraction and keep them very competitive).
Those 10 and 12-year old kids that have fallen in love with the Rams seeing them score big under McVay, beat KC on MNF last year, go to the Super Bowl, etc. aren't buying tickets yet. But they're watching and many are hooked. This move was
always a long-term play and steadily having 73k in the Coliseumin years 3 and 4 is a great success- even while a handful of games had large opposing fans contingents (and by the way, Rams fans always show up big in SF and AZ, so there's that too...). The colors in the seats should be mentioned along with their TV ratings growth, social media followings growth, merchandise sales- all solidly trending up and also indicators of how they're growing their brand.
The Chargers are of course another story... I agree with those that use the Seattle Supersonics analogy.... The league should have figured it out. They (re)gained a great Super Bowl destination in LA but also lost a great one in San Diego.
