I wanted them to come out after the replay on that and say "The ball was fumbled, but replay also shows an egregious blow to the head on the QB, so 15 yard unnecessary roughness penalty on the Saints, Rams ball 1st and 10."
That's what I wanted. But we don't always get what we want.
That's exactly what I saw too Sag. Goff got a violent hand to the face on that play, which should have been a penalty. Yes, the incomplete pass call ended up being the wrong call but it really should have been a penalty against the Saints and a 1st and 10 for the Rams.
It is another example of how a game never comes down to just one call/non-call. Too many things happen in a game.
