And never will be. That's about all I have to say about that.
I took a very long break from all things NFL. Enjoyed a great lunch with the family on Super Bowl Sunday and then watched women's curling and ski jumping championships on some random NBC sports channel during the game. Ignored Free Agency, ignored the draft, ignored preseason, ignored talk radio, ignored football websites...I still couldn't tell you who we took in the draft, or how we did in the preseason.
My dad and I have 2 season tix - he renewed them, so we went to MNF together. At this point, I am coolly detached from it all (sort of) so I'm more focused on hanging out with him (76 years old) and having a few beers. Went we went up by 6 with 50 seconds left and Texans with no timeouts, I knew exactly what was going to happen. And it did lol. Fortunately our d was so bad we got the ball back with just enough time (and another silly call, naturally).
I didn't watch any other games (didn't renew redzone this year) so I did not see any of your game versus Carolina. Based on what I saw Monday and what I saw from the Rams last year I would pick the Rams to win this game - something like 27-20. Our interior D line is in bad shape - we have UDFAs getting major minutes with Rankins out and Onyemata serving a suspension. Onyemata will be back this week but I still think Gurley and Brown will have lots of room to run. Plus its a short week, and a long trip. But who knows. By the end of the game our offense was humming, so maybe that will be enough and the D can hold on just enough.
We'll see - good luck.
