I agree. Tap other revenue growth sources instead of relying on an archaic source (preseason) that provides far less value to the fan than ever before.
I would not get rid of preseason but I would go to two games with each team also having 2-4 days of joint practices with other team(s). Also have a controlled intrasquad scrimmage at each home stadium too that is priced modestly and allows some fans extras (for a cost) like field access or postgame autograph signings, etc. They can get creative. It's should not be that hard. To me charging more than $25 for a preseason game where no starters play is absurd.
