So just because they're rich doesn't mean people above them won't devalue them. Do you think Jerry Jones would be happy if he woke up tomorrow and 'only' earned 35 million This year? Remember when LeBron James left the Cavs as a free agent in 2010 and Dan Gilbert went on a tirade about how he created LeBron? Remember when DeMar derozen took a paycut for the raptors because he loved the city and wanted to do what's best for the team, only to be traded to San Antonio? Everyday working people like us may idolize athletes, but a lot of owners look at them as business pieces.
As for the holdouts, I mean it's in the CBA so I don't mind it. Besides, if they don't show up, they don't get paid. That seems fair. You can't 'make' a person play if they don't want to no matter what the reason is.
