“
Yes I do. I believe that. In fact a lot of things McV does he got from KS.
One day it will show with KS, unless he is held back too much by having no Snead to work with”.Well, you’re definitely entitled to your opinion, zn, but we certainly see this one differently.
We’ve seen 2 years of both Shanny and McVay and there’s no comparison when considering their respective HC skills beyond the Offensive X’s and O’s.
Ability to interact with the GM re player types via draft, FA, and trade. Not to mention football loving good citizen types.
Grasp of D and ST, not merely the O.
Interaction with players, both vets and rookies to build a team mentality (we, not me).
Managing practice workloads for vets.
Creating an atmosphere that attracts FA interest in joining the party.
Excellence in dealing with all kinds of media to promote the Ram image.
Ability to attract and hire top drawer asst coaches and then continually hiring their replacements when they get promoted.
These are all overwhelmingly in McVay’s favor.
Like I said, McVay is a complete HC, a very rare thing in today’s NFL. Not perfect, of course, but miles ahead of Shanny at this point in their respective careers.
Want proof? In a hypothetical choice of McVay or Shanny, which HC do you think would be the pick to be their new HC by 32 other teams? I honestly think it would be McVay unanimously.
