I checked out the Farrar article that was linked and found this to be interesting, under the writeup for Wentz:
"Through his first three NFL seasons, Wentz is tied for fifth in NFL history in combined passer rating behind Russell Wilson, Dan Marino, Dak Prescott, and Jared Goff."
Apparently Goff is 4th in NFL history in combined passer rating, but is not one of the 11 best QBs currently playing.
The relative slump at the end of 2018 is going to dominate a lot of non-Rams-fans' thinking on Goff.
He didn't play well in the 2017 playoff game and he didn't play well in the 2018 superbowl.
For a young qb, those "last game of the year" performances are going to overshadow a lot of things.
Not that you personally weren't, but IMO it's best to just patiently endure things like that. If Goff is who we think he is (and...he is), eventually--maybe not soon enough for us but eventually--everyone else will see it too.
