In the end it worked out but in real time I did think. Shouldn’t we be trying to score a TD.

I could care less if someone nationally thought so. That stuff doesn't bother me. I'm not sure why getting approval from writers and TV guys matters. It nice...but I don't really care what they think.

Another chapter in the Aaron Rodgers legacy was about to be written. Yeah...no guarantee but it had that feeling. And it's that mystique, factual or not, where Rodgers is in his career. His team mates believe it, his coaches believe it, the announcers believe it, the national pundits believe it, the national audience believes it.
Hasn't Rodgers earned his reputation for late game heroics? I don't think it's just an unfounded belief. So much so that I'm like you, VERY grateful Montgomery did what he did.
I was very disappointed that McVay put the game in the hands of his defense and was more than a little concerned about Rodgers leading the Packers into FG range with well over a minute remaining.
