Because my reaction to that word was negative. s ago.
If you use strong words, you will get some reactions to that.
Particularly if they are words that mean different things to different people.
Dictionary synonyms for rattle are: unnerve, disconcert, disturb, fluster, shake, perturb, discompose, discomfit, ruffle, throw, faze.
That would be posting PC.
Posters aren't supposed to say what they think because there's a chance someone out there would take the word the wrong way?
My own view of all this is, people say what they think and others don't take offense at it.
(Obviously, within the rules. EG don't make it about posters or single out and take digs at posters. You're clearly not doing that so this isn't passive aggressive accusation.)I don't care what word is used to describe Goff's shakier moments in the first half when he was facing a D that was disrupting the offense (and the OL). I am certainly not going to argue about the word. I don't care if someone says "rattled," I don't care if someone says "less than optimally accurate in part because of reacting to pressure which was the OL's fault."
Arguing over it to ME means giving excessive due to people who are just being sensitive.
I say don't be sensitive. Assume there will be different views and different words for it and that taken altogether it's fine.
Just as I don't care what word people used to describe what McV called his own lack of situational awareness in the Denver game. If someone says "arrogant," fine with me---because all that indicates is that in the range of opinions some go there, and some don't.
It's all good. Meaning the fact of the conversation itself.
If people take offense at honest assessments, that's on THEM, IMO.
If on the other hand people disagree about what they saw and how to assess it and what it means, then I just think "oh good, conversation."
