The Rams drafts worked through consensus and the in that situation, just like now, the GM works hard on finding the kind of player the coach wants. Fisher had the final say in drafts, but they would set the board through discussion and consensus and stick to the board on draft day. As head coach Fisher would have a lot of weight on who got picked higher in the draft, but they worked collaboratively. That means you have to blame Snead as much for Robinson as you would Fisher, and then credit them both when it came to guys like Gurley and Goff and Donald.
