Fisher not only was clueless about running an offense, but he was horrible at hiring his offensive coaches and drafting/signing offensive personnel and having any type of consistent and competent play calling. The moment Jeff Fisher was hired as head coach and he hired Brian Schottenheimer as OC I stated how horrible the Rams offense would be and would never be effective until Fisher was replaced.
.Please lets not continue to blame everything on OL injuries year after year after year, Snead and McVay brought in OL Whitworth, Sullivan and Blythe. They also traded for Cooks, drafted Kupp and signed Woods.
On offense give Fisher full credit for Gurley but we always knew how much stock Fisher put into drafting RB`s high and his running game. However, without an OL and receivers Gurley would eventually get beat up and be average at best.
We may never know the truth, but inside word I have says that trading up and drafting Jared Goff was NOT Jeff Fisher`s idea! And I 100% believe it! This move came from the top!
Seeing a Sean McVay/Les Snead built and run offense is the complete polar opposite of a Jeff Fisher/Les Snead built and run offense.
I`ve knocked Demoff in the past but the dude got it right and found a head coach that was the polar opposite of Jeff Fisher and in turn also gave Les Snead a chance to do his job without being handcuffed like he was with Fisher. Very wise of him to not fire Snead as he knew he wasn't able to do what he was capable of.
