a 3 yr deal with 60m guaranteed. This would let AD hit FA again at age 30...and able to negotiate a new deal with the Rams or someone else.
it avgs 20m/yr...but guarantees 60m and that AD will get a 3rd contract. ...is it reasonable?
justa thot
Rams already have him locked up for the next three years at less then $40M with no guaranteed money using tags.
As you can see Rams are the ones holding the hammer in this negotiation.
We see a lot of statements by the media and anti-corporation types that are biased toward the player in these types of discussions.
They push the concept that Donald has a lot of leverage here, when he doesn't have nearly as much as they believe.
Another point I keep reading is that the media believes the fans are siding with management against the hard working players.
What they don't get is that the fans just want to win. They know the CBA forces teams to manage their CAP. The CBA needs to be fixed by the players.

I don't know what "media" you're watching or reading.
The majority of it is just blandly pro-management on issues like this. I don't even take that as controversial or provocative. It's just quietly true.
That includes the Donald situation.
And remember, built into how we describe things like this, it's always a double-edged sword.
So you call a position different from yours "a bias." That's a double-edged sword. If they have a bias, you have a bias. That's inescapable. If you don't like being told you have a bias, then, don't use the word yourself; on the other hand, if you don't mind be told that yourself, then feel free to use the word.
If they have a perspective, you have a perspective. Which of course is a less inflammatory term than "bias."
And people are more balanced and objective if they are realistic about both sides. Most people, as a rule, aren't that way.
