Whether we read it or not. Teams don't let out every bit of info there is. What are they supposed to say "Snead wanted Watkins but Fisher overrode him"? No because teams don't leak that sort of stuff. Could PD be right about Watkins? Sure. Could u be right? Of course. We just don't know.
They described their process, multiple times, with each major figure (Demoff, Fisher, Snead) speaking indepdently in multiple venues, and did that each year for several years. That's augmented by outside reporters being allowed inside to cover them.
The PD btw never indicated that after the process of stacking the board that the Rams brass had differences over who the first pick was. If I am wrong, quote them.
And it's not "me" v. anything, it's just me having read virtually everything (if not everything) everyone said about this. Why? Because I am the rambill on a different board and I posted it all, all of it, every year. So all I am in this is someone who has read everything on this, from press conferences to interviews to Demoff board chats etc, every year, year in and year out.
It's simple and there;'s no evidence to the contrary.
They stacked their board as a group and all arguments were over when the board was stacked.
They then stuck behind their board and followed it.
You will not be able to find a single bit of evidence that contradicts that.
You will find multiple times multiple accounts that confirm it.
And yes when there are differences it gets out. For example in 2008, Devaney did not want Avery, and Zygmunt over-ruled him.
In 2006 Haslett was surprised they drafted Alston.
Etc.
Right now, in 2017 and going into 2018, the process is the same as it was from 2012-16.
