Last year Snead put together a roster that was top shelf. Plus he took a huge risk and gambled on an inexperience coach that is a coaching prodigy.
This year he as retooled the roster and we are now Super Bowl favorites.
Fisher was his boss when he was here and it really hampered Snead ability to do his job. He also was charged with finding Fisher type player which meant at times going for broke on potential with less emphasis on experience and character.
McVay is great but he didn't put this roster together Snead did. Snead drafted Gurley, Goff, Donald two elite players and a franchise QB.
He has made great free agent acquisitions targeting McVay type of players.
He takes risks but hedges his bets.
He also has made every effort to work in a synergistic manner with McVay and the organization is all on the same page.
Top 10 GM is pretty darn good and if we get a little playoff success he will climb up the charts.
I remember the days of futility where we could not acquire talent not matter what we tried to do and it went on for years. Snead is a huge improvement and he keeps getting better.
