For the thousandth time, this isn't about free agency. This is about retaining players.
Why is it so hard to stay on topic?
Also is it too much to ask for a response to the merits of what I said? This was not solely a complaint about pre-Fisher transactions.
Maybe you missed the part about AO. That just happened last year under McVay.
There is a pattern that continued under McVay.
Strengths in free agency and the draft don't mean there is no weakness in player retention.
The player retention weakness actually undermines FA and draft gains.
So they tag one of their own today and pay one of their own last year, but it's not the way you wanted it...so it's wrong. Ok.
I didn't realize every team in the league retains their players at a rate much higher then the Rams.
Like i said, the Rams are in really good cap space shape, had 8 pro bowlers last year and are one of the brightest up and coming teams in the league...sorry if I don't see the outlook as gloomy as you.
Jenkins and McCloud are about the only ones that really seem to have gotten away and quite honesty, looking at our secondary right now, I'm not too bummed about it.
