You forgot Quinn.
Other than that, I agree with you. They take too long to decide who they want to retain or they wait too long in the process to get serious.
Or they don't offer enough. With JJ, the rumor was that they were offering $9M. An obvious low ball.
It's definitely an organizational weakness.
I don't think there is a team in the league with more roster turnover form year to year then the Patriots and they're in the Suoer Bowl every other year....with what looks like a different team every time.....besides the constant of Brady and Bill.
Is that organizational weakness or strength?
Not saying we're the Patriots(yet) but there are more ways to winning then just trying to keep your young players as long as possible and as cheap as possible....it's not easy in today's NFL especially when you are a winning team.
See my post above...
I'd love for them to be like the Pats. NE retains their core.
Be decisive. Idenify your core early.
If you can't keep your young players, if they don't want to sign extensions, trade them. Grab that 2nd or 3rd and run.
It seems to me the Rams either wait until the last minute, or when they do start early we hear reports of low ball offers or obvious midjudgments of the market.
