letting TruJo go.......that was a Fisher issue and they kinda got stuck with that

I'm on record for being a huge Mcleod fan...dropped the ball on that but looks like the Rams have a very good safety tandem now

Jenkins was kinda a FU like Peters....in college for sure that's why he dropped to the 2nd.....suspended twice as a Ram and was outspoken in NY for wanting to get out

I also liked Jenkins (despite all the baggage) and thought Fisher dropped the ball, but Peters is a better, younger, cheaper replacement....hopefully he gets his head on straight
low risk, high reward IMHO....we could have signed someone for $12 million- not as good and lost other players, but I like the low risk low salary
and locking up players like AD, Watkins and Joyner

Small point. Fisher wanted to keep Jenkins. He learned on vacation that Jenkins signed elsewhere, and he blamed Snead for it. Fisher couldn't sign guys. That wasn't up to him. Losing Jenkins apparently caused a rift between Fisher and Snead.

....

Sorry, but I'm calling BS on that story...especially about Fisher not having final say on who they sign and don't sign.

Sounds like just another excuse from Fisher.

Well the story was widely reported. And discussed here, at length. In fact you are in one of those threads.

AND yes he had final say but he did not do contracts, and contracts can go wrong.

So there's no bs to call here.

Fisher brought up the offseason departures of safety Rodney McLeod and cornerback Janoris Jenkins, seemingly blaming general manager Les Snead for not bringing them back.

“I was told that there wasn’t going to be any issues – they were going to be re-signed – and we lost them,” Fisher said. “Janoris got votes for Defensive Player of the Year. That side of it – it doesn’t fall into my lap. … Because of the move, in retrospect and everything, things just got a little out of perspective, and we lost two really good football players.”
