But blaming Snead for not extending him would have been unfair since Snead doesn’t do contract negotiations, either.
That’s Demoff’s department. But maybe Jenkins was uninterested in extending at that point? He’d had enough of the losing? Or, more likely, his demands exceeded the ceiling set by Demoff/Snead?
Anyway, it takes 2 to tango on a contract extension. Fisher can’t just snap his fingers and go fishing on such delicate matters.
