I love the gambler in Snead but he has no feel for talent, and he either lets them walk away or folds and over pays. I hate the AO contract extension especially for that price.
Agree 100% Lenny.. Unless Tree explodes in 2018 and throws egg on our faces, I never understood the value they gave Tree with his extension.
I thought he was worthy of an extension and wanted him in the long term plans but was taken back by what Snead and the new McVay era gave him..

The Rams announced Thursday they have agreed to terms on a four-year contract extension with linebacker Alec Ogletree. The deal is worth $42 million and includes $31.4 million in guarantees, $18 million in full guarantees and an $8 million signing bonus, a source informed of the situation told NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport.

Research my threads.. I was never on board with this contract extension at this price. It does eerily have the look of the Tavon contract and this was under McVay's watch.
The one positive about Tree's contract is that he can be cut after the 2018 season for a dead cap hit of 4.8 million.
It still bites but the fact that he can be released after 2018 and 4.8 mil cap hit is better than a 11.6 salary cap hit if they were to keep him on the roster should he continue to under perform under the current numbers etc..
Never expected the AO extension at the price he got......
