So. AGAIN. They were caught violating the only relevant rule, busted for it, and punished.
That's it. The tapes can serve no other purpose. Not unless you can directly name and quote any other relevant rule they might have violated. The only thing the tapes could prove is that they violated the non-taping rule and beyond that, there's nothing.
....
How do you know what they were busted for? Were you in the meeting with Goodell? There were notes from that meeting that were also destroyed so nobody (including you) who knows all the details so to say "
caught violating the only relevant rule" is "hear say" on your part as you were not in that meeting. Also, they weren't ONLY busted for taping signals, (violated the non-taping rule and beyond that, there's nothing.) they were busted for taping the walkthrough of the Rams, the day before the SB and most likely much more.
IMO, (and many many others) just the taping of signals and a walkthrough is enough to convince me that it helped them win the first few SB's. No if's and's or but's...it was cheating and was illegal and robbed many players and fans of money, fame and legacy.

#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
