Pete Rose did waaaaaay less than Belichick and look where that stands. I say ban Belichick and Brady and Kraft from the Hall of Fame.
What Rose did as a player (and this coming from a Dodger fan) was epic. Yet, there he is, left out for doing nothing that changed the games he was involved in. The Patriots? Their admitted, fine paid, cheating DID affect game outcomes.
+1000 I agree totally. What we "do" know might have affected games outcomes. What we "don't" know (because tapes AND notes were DESTROYED) could have and probably was sooo egregious that they didn't want ANYONE to see or know about it.
If you think for one minute that the league would have actually released or admitted to info that "crimes" affecting the outcome of games were committed you are sadly mistaken. Goodell would have done whatever he had to do to make sure that kind of info/evidence would not get into the public.
ZN keeps pounding the "only rule they broke" mantra (we DO know they also taped at least one walkthrough) but is not understanding that we the public do not know the full extent of what happened. It could have been sooo bad that lawsuits would have bankrupt the league. Because it was destroyed, all we can do is imagine.
Banning them from the HOF would satisfy me and I bet others including players and coaches too.
#HelmetHornsMatter
“Well, the color is good, I like the metallic blue,” Youngblood recently said while laughing, via NFL Journal. “The horn is terrible. It looks like a ‘C.’ When I first saw it on the logo I honestly thought it was a Charger logo.
“Now when I see it on the helmet, it just isn’t a ram horn. There is no distinct curl like a mature ram horn. I don’t know how the Rams could get that wrong. That is your symbol and it has been for what? Seventy years or more? Longer than I have been alive? It’s just not us, it’s not the Rams.”---Mr. Ram Jack Youngblood
