They know that McVay is responsible for their success this year. And they also heard the comments by Fisher.
And the players came out and SAID that McVay deserves all the credit. Not one of them is thanking Fisher for anything right now. Why? Because they know who gave them what they've got this year. Sean McVay.
And kudos to Les Snead for staying classy and letting Fisher ramble on about how he was responsible for the roster.
Name me a team that did NOT credit the new coach.
It tells you nothing.
AND certainly does not excuse people for completely ignoring the game changing conditions the Rams played under from 2012-15.
I had the exact same debate with you in 2007, when the Rams lost 10 offensive linemen---including 4 lost for the season, and with
replacements being replaced for significant stretches of games---and you argued it was all on the qb.
Context matters. You factor it in--properly and logically---or you don't. If you don't, then, I will always see the shortcomings in that approach.
The players ALSO know that if THIS YEAR they lost the qb, had to start a #2 caliber QB most of the way, and lost 3/5ths of the OL this season they wouldn't do as well. We know it, they know it, it's standard issue ordinary football understanding.
