I haven't heard one media person do anything but say that Fisher's statement is over the top.
Yeah he shouldn;t have said it, it was crass.
BUT #1 it is true that his regime provided many of the players that define this year's team.
AND #2 he did not take credit for this year's winning.
If he had, you wouldn't be trying to foist off media talking heads to me as "evidence." You would provide me with a direct quotation where he explicitly takes credit.
And of course I;ve said enough about other things to demonstrate that yeah it absolutely is a matter of opinion what caused the losing from 2012-15. (2016 the big contributor was the move.) I point out the combined issues with OL and qb. Remember, 15 of 64 games with both a relatively healthy veteran OL and a starting caliber qb. And I challenge people to name me teams that won under those conditions. Some have come up with examples, but they didn't hold up...looked at closely they weren't the same thing. (Usually the mistake is to not look for multiple SIMULTANEOUS OL injuries.)
I don't know
how much better but the last regime would have done better if they didn't have those conditions.
I don't know
how much worse but this regime would not do as well if it did have those conditions.
All that just stands to reason.
Either way we all like the current regime so it shouldn't bother you that someone doesn't conform to what you think is the dominant narrative on the last regime.
