AD may want language like an opt-out clause that the Rams will NEVER agree to.
If that's the case as I suspect it is considering the package the Rams put together was pretty close to the highest paid defender in the NFL, then AD being a Ram forever just can't happen.
Not as long as AD or his people want language that is a hard no, then what?
Well, we all have a pretty solid handle on it... 1) 5th-year option and then two franchise tags. All while AD sits out every off-season and basically misses the first game. 2) trade him for a boatload of picks including likely multiple #1s
I simply explored the second option.
AD can change this whole discussion by simply agreeing to be the highest or next highest defensive player in the NFL with tons of guarantees. But if he wants that opt-out clause as I suspect, then... there are only the two options...
That's it. I don't want to trade AD. I want him to retire as a Ram. HE may not want that. And last I checked, AD doesn't answer to me...
