We all know Fisher wanted JJ very badly.
It came down to someone in the FO determining what JJ was worth and what the Rams were willing to pay him. Demoff is that guy with input from Snead.
One possible explanation is that Demoff and Snead got caught up in analytics in determining JJs worth. The result is incompetent football people not knowing how to use football numbers.
The analogy is a guy with an economics degree trying to interpret an MRI.
A real football guy can look at a player and understand what his true value is. He knows how to interpret the performance numbers and project what the player will do going forward.
The last guys in the world I want doing that for my team is Demoff with Snead helping him.
