and apologize. I thought it was the percentage of plays thrown to. 5 passing plays and only 1 comes your way. 20%
or maybe plays from scrimmage. 5 total plays and 1 comes your way 20%
In the context of catching what is thrown your way, it means something, but much of this is if it is a catchable pass.
but back to getting passes thrown your way:
Unless you are on the greatest show on turf, if you are getting open, you are more likely to be the one getting targeted. Don't get open, and the ball doesn't come your way.
I don't have a strong feeling on Woods, but I do understand Buffalo doesn't pass much hurting the bottom line. The target thing - well, after Watkins got hurt, he should have gotten an increase in targets, but I don't think he did, which leads me to believe he struggles getting open.
But I saw a report that he is a good route runner. Maybe, the inept coaching, kept him from running patterns that create space or the design was poorly done on their offense. We know that was the case with the Rams the past years.
So, I keep an open mind. Results say, we just hired an average receiver, but he was in a bad offensive system and may be better than those results.
Britt on the other hand, also was average his entire career until this past year. I am not sure if he improved or if the opposing defense so out so much on Gurley that those results were gift wrapped. It remains to be seen.
