I don't know if he's going to be an option route guy that McVay needs in his offense, but a good overall TE like him is something I'd like to see added to the roster. I'm not worried about how quick he'll be available because whoever they pick at TE probably isn't going to be ready to help out in a meaningful way their rookie season anyway.

So for my money I'd rather have them address TE in rounds 3+ in general and go after an instant impact guy at that #37 pick who slid out of round 1 but has that sort of grade/value.
