but the big one......he is not the long term answer here....He is a good back up and may be a low quality starter on a bad team,
but they sold the farm to draft Goff....play Goff to get experience for next year

I don't see a difference between 5-11 (if he struggles) with Goff or 7-9 6-10 with Keenum.
At least Goff gets experience. If he's that not ready, then maybe he was a mistake.
