at that current 19 ppg.
Almost half the season gone, so now they have to scramble to make the playoffs. It would be nice if they started the season at 22 or 23 per. Its not like they are starting a bunch of new guys on offense.
Obviously that shutout on Monday night against the 9ers skews things a little bit, but you still have to count it, because the NFL is counting it as a loss for the Rams.
Well here's why I personally don't count it.
I think they started out slow because the changes on offense amounted to a new install. So that's a new install for a team that moved, and the first install for a new 1st time coordinator. That means beginning the season out of sync. They reminded me of the early 2011 Rams and the infamous out of sync team following the McDaniels install.
If that's true, and I think it is, then it's not the same team as the 1st 2 games. Counting the 1st 2 teams, according to that view, distorts the picture.
Now I can't campaign to get others to see it like that. But I do. I think it;s a much more realistic picture if you assume they improved since the 1st 2 games and in fact, at least partly BECAUSE OF the 1st game (rude awakening, players only meeting, wake-up call, etc).
