It's not unrealistic when pretty much every other top draft pick QB has started in the last couple of years. Marriotta also had no under center / playcalling experience and Tenessee let him struggle and learn and now they're looking at a 2nd year QB who's got game expericence. Same with Tampa. They should have done everything they could to get a system Goff can learn and grow in and let him take his lumps this year.
In EVERY ONE of those situations the incoming rookie was playing on a @#$%& team that had nothing to lose by starting the rookie...the Rams are not a 1-15 team that earned the number one pick, they are a team that is ready to win now and Case Keenum gives us our best chance at it...Goff was a draft pick for the long term future, if he's not ready, he's not ready... Let him sit and learn...he will be the franchise QB sooner then later.
