of course they are and both are valid points of view. imo CK is no superstar but a a guy that can win some games with talent around him much like trent dilfer in baltimore.
also i dont think they mortgaged anything. in fact we are missing a first rounder next year and thats about it. moreover we are in good shape salary cap wise to make up for the missing picks.
overall we needed a qb. i think that was plainly evident to anybody who watched the rams the last few years. fisher and snead felt that goff was the best choice and went and got him. will they be right in the long term? i dont think anybody knows the answer to that just yet but i do know that if goff starts winning no one will care what we traded. And i also know that if he doesn't start day one, its NOT indicative of a mistake. the nfl is full of guys who dont start day one but go on to very successful careers.

That's my opinion. Of course it's not a fact. But neither is Keenum would have taken us to the playoffs last year. Both are opinions.
BUT look at what our front office did. Mortgaged the future for a QB. Ask yourself, would they have done that if they thought Keenum was the guy to take them to the playoffs? They could have drafted Paxton or Dak and kept all of this year's and next year's draft choices. They made their move and that should speak volumes.
