If we're going to look at this entirely, then I think it's important to look at the whole picture.
What got me going was that Snead/McVay made it intentional - trying to trade into the 33rd slot all the way to 39th where they finally found a taker. I have no qualms about this, especially with the trade for Kevin Dotson (a 4th for a 5th and a 5th for a 6th) that was highway robbery in favor of the Rams. Dotson was worth at least a 2nd, if not more. But it doesn't fit into the narrative as "only Fiske" - I say baloney.
And by the way, there was speculation that Puka Nacua, Kobie Turner and Byron Young would have each fetched 1st round picks if a re-draft of 2023 were held. Sure this has nothing to do with Braden Fiske, but I put my faith in those that accumulated this "wealth" in the first place.
So if Snead and McVay are in unison that Braden Fiske is worth another 2nd round pick in 2025, plus a 5th this year, then I fully support them.
(My unsubstantiated opinion is that Snead/McVay were willing to trade up in the 1st round to draft Verse. When he fell to them, it was like they had extra assets they didn't plan for, which was then used to draft Fiske.)
