Obviously, I have no way of knowing. Most outside observers seem to think so, though. Many think the Rams overpaid by a lot. Just going by the value charts, they gave up a lot more than the pick was valued. A third instead of a second would still have been a slight overpay, but more equitable (again, based on the value charts). But Les wanted his guy and paid what he felt he had to pay to get him, and I'm good with that. I much prefer being aggressive than passive and it's hard to argue with the results from this bunch, so it amounts to minor quibbling. We're basically talking about the difference between a second and a third, and I won't lose any sleep over that.
