How many wins for the Rams this year?
Gonna go with 12 wins, Coy. And I might be a little too conservative, at that.
Here’s my reasoning.
Stafford is known to be healthy and capable this year and that was not known last year at this time. Plus Jimmy G is a huge upgrade over last years motley crew. That’s one more win right there.
We now know that Kyren is the man and he will start from Day 1. I expect another RB will be added to join Rivers and Evans.
Our OL has taken a quantum leap since last year. Can’t be overstated.
I like our TE room better than last year’s version even though time of Higbee’s return is not known.
Love our WR room already vs this time last year and expect a stud to be added from draft. Big upgrade here, too.
Edge should be better than last year after this draft. Not a terribly high bar to upgrade from Hoecht, right?
AD will be missed, but Rams will draft a promising player plus I think they like their DL depth drafted last year. I fully expect both Young and Turner to take steps forward in this, their 2nd year. The deficit might not be all that great, overall.
CB room now is hugely upgraded from last year. Again, this can’t be overstated. And a stud CB might fall in our lap in this draft.
I think our safety room is already upgraded vs last year and that’s before any help from draft.
They need to find a kicker but that was true last year, as well.
This is gonna be controversial perhaps, but I suspect that Shula will prove to be an upgrade over Morris. Just a feeling I have and only time will give us an answer.
More I think about it, the more I think 12 wins might be too conservative. Now 13 wins might be very realistic.
