7 years of McVay. 5 years in the Playoffs. 2 Superbowl appearances. 1 Superbowl victory. And he is still the youngest HC in the league.
We can second guess all day long, criticize individual decisions, and play MMQB. But the fact is that McVay is pure gold and there's very few teams in the NFL that would give anything to have him as their HC. Probably at least 25 of them.
This, to me, may be his best year yet. He has taken a team with obvious holes and deficiencies in a number of spots after shedding star players and big salaries, and developed them into a playoff team.
Hats off to him and to his players for fighting through and finding ways to win....pretty or ugly.
