It's entirely possible that Evans has demonstrated over thousands of opportunities in training camp & controlled scrimmages in addition to 23 carries in preseason that he's not ready for prime time. Not that you or I have seen it, but his performance has been scrutinized in great detail out of our purview. But somehow they need 5 or 6 more carries to see what he can do? I don't buy that for a second, although those carries might let you and me get up to speed.


And isn't it likely that Tutu is a better WR this year than he was last year? You don't even have to take my word for it - this from Stafford's presser, posted by Ramsdude elsewhere on this board:


(On where WR Tutu Atwell has grown the most) I think from year one to now it's been gradual.


And this from McVay's presser, also in Ramdude's thread: I think he's really developing into…he's just become a more complete football player.


You know full well that players can develop significantly over the course of their careers. It's been a joy watching what Tutu can do this year, but that doesn't mean he could have done the same thing last year. That's a leap I'm not willing to make (but I'm fine if you are).
